Stay away from blogging and you return to find another template, more changes. Keeps me young I guess...and makes me realize what a wonderful time I had when I had the time and energy to post more often!
As we roll onwards to the end of the year I just want to thank anyone and everyone who ever stopped by here. It was fun and it will continue.

NOT SO FAT
So, I took the bull by the proverbial horns and I have lost some lbs. I feel so much better.
The key here is health. Took me 40 years to figure that out.
Walking again, eating healthy again and doing it because I want to be healthy.
Vanity is wonderful, but it only gets you so far.
Health (oh and bending over to tie your shoes) is really what it is all about.

SUMMER COLDS
Leave it to Facebook to remind me that this is the second summer cold I've had this season. I used to believe that I never "got sick." Now that I post how I'm feeling on Facebook, not so true!
I'm not sure why I have had two colds in the last two months. Maybe because I work with the public five days a week and I don't wash my hands often enough. Maybe my immune system is a bit off as I move forward to entering my 59th year. Who knows?
I sure don't.
I just don't like being sick.
Hope everyone is having a lovely start to summer otherwise.

ABOUT 9 YEARS AGO
I'm oddly upset about Natasha Richardson.
Nine years ago, I was exiting the car park in St. Tropez. This was not any car park mind you, this was the swishy car park, in reality a condo car park! One could buy a space so that when one went into town one always had a space, but I digress.
I was exiting said car park on my way to meet some people for dinner. I looked up and my entire field of vision was enveloped by the most glamorous couple I had ever seen in my life. It was Natasha and Liam. I knew they frequented St. Trop, as Ms. Richardson's father had a house not far from S T. I'd just never seen them.
I don't know why I found them so intriguing. I'd certainly seen enough celebrity in my years in ST to not be awed by star power. However, I remember talking about seeing them to anyone who would listen to me for weeks! They exuded something and as I passed them I was touched by it. The other thing I remember was that they were engaged with what was going on around them. They acknowledged me with a nod, and perhaps this is why this incident sticks with me even today.
Hope the situation changes and Ms. Richardson pulls through.

Nearly Oscar Time!
Yes, that time of year again and yes I have not seen most of the movies! Of course that will not stop me from wallowing in the excess known as The Oscars.
My great friends Laura and Arthur will have their annual bash in NYC. I will not be attending this year...need I say more. You can figure out why. Yeah, it is the economy stupid!
I will keep it simple, thank you Costco, and spend a couple of hours (three, four....who knows) in front of the TV enjoying the mindless parade of egos and gowns and will love every stupid second of it.
Hope my pals out there in the cyber world are enjoying this New Year and what the New Year brought to us.
I sleep better at night knowing the White House is in good hands.
