SHOCK AND AWE
Yes, I am in shock. Yes, I am awed by the opportunity presented to those in power to move us forward in a new direction.
I admit that days before the election I choose to believe that "they" would again steal another election. That "they" would trump the will of the people.
What a delight not to have that be the reality.
While things in Texas didn't change to much, KUDOS have to go to April Ayers and all the people who worked so hard to elect Ellen Cohen and Herbert Vo. Ms. Cohen defeated a lethal incumbent and Mr. Vo maintained his incumbency over a despicable man.
Yes we still have Governor Good Hair (rumored to be running already for a spot as Vice President on the next Republican Presidential Ticket!) and we have a bunch of cock-a-mamie Republican Judges, but hey. The world wasn't built in seven days.
I have high hopes and higher expectations for the next years. I hope this new team can lead and move us out of the era of governance based on hatred and attack.
May a new era begin.
Cheers to all who voted. Especially the ones who voted in these new changes!
